The Start They're off! 435 runners take off at the start of the Penguin Run 5k to benefit Cradle Beach Camp.   Is that a real penguin in the from row with Peter Meindl and the other top runners?

Peter Meindl is the The Winner! Peter Meindl blazes the Amherst streets to post an outstanding winning time of 15:11 - and makes it look easy.

Peggy Melonic - Womens Winner! Peggy Melonic leads all women finishers with an excellent early season time of 18:31.

Mike Heitzenrater Mike Heitzenrater zooms to a 2nd place finish in 15:44.

James Howze James Howze speeds to a 10th place finish in 17:47.

Amy Fakterowitz Amy Fakterowitz races to a 3rd place finish among all women competitors and first-place in her age group (F30-34) in a time of 19:52.

Carol Dittenhofer Carol Dittenhofer claims the 3rd spot in her age-grouop with her 21:51 clocking. She was the 8th woman finisher overall.

The Penguin! The Penguin himself approaches the finishline (That's Fred May inside the penguin costume). The penguin's time was 22:59. Following the penguin is Dale Wunsch who placed 109th in 23:00. Finishing next is Charles Moore. Charles posted a 23:02 clocking.

Joseph Macalupo 10-year old Joseph Macalupo has plenty of energy left as he runs through the finish line to claim the 356th spot and 16th place in the 0-14 age-group. Joseph's time was 36:56.
